IPS Birmingham changes out 5000 HP armature to keep steel mill on schedule

Shop technicians worked around the clock with the field service team to split the frame, remove the old armature and replace it with a spare the customer had on site. The mill was down for a six-day outage and due to IPS’ quick response, they were able to start up on schedule.
