IPS Carolina offers single-source capabilities for underground mining (room & pillar/continuous mining and longwall mining), coal prep plants, surface mining and mineral processing plants. We have 80-plus years of experience building and servicing underground mine motors, with MSHA-trained personnel.
We have extensive experience servicing explosion-proof motors, providing authorized warranty repairs on serveral OEM brands. IPS Carolina repair technicians repair and rebuild underground motors to MSHA standards, with motor inspections based on OEM print (when available) and all explosion-proof motor component fits measured and recorded. Our repair work is done to OEM print by component (when available), working with an extensive library of OEM file numbers with detailed drawings. Our centralized engineering organization ensures best practices in testing, repair and manufacturing, backed by the principles of IPS Lean, our culture of continuous improvement.
The end result is standardized repairs or remanufacturing for AC & DC motors to OEM print (when available), with fully documented QA and lead times the competition can’t match.
