IPS acquired DUAL Électrotech in August 2024. DUAL Électrotech, a leader in engineered electrical distribution solutions, joins the IPS international network.
We serve industrial, commercial, and government customers in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, and Europe. DUAL Électrotech offers all IPS services and resources, with single-source capabilities for electromechanical, power management, and rotating assets.
IPS has an established presence in Canada, with market coverage in Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. We offer NETA and non-NETA technical field services, surplus and new electrical equipment distribution, and electrical equipment remanufacturing.
We also develop engineered electrical solutions, including motor control centers, starters, drives, and e-houses.

We acquired ABB’s US and Canadian hydro generator business in 2022. This acquisition included the AB Beloeil, Quebec coil manufacturing plant and Denver, Colorado service center.
IPS Hydro Services is a dedicated group of hydro service veterans. They offer engineering, design history and the skills to service and repair hydro generators up to 350 MW.
Our turnkey services cover power distribution, hydro generators, motors, and rotating equipment, including large-scale fans and multistage centrifugal blowers. These capabilities are now available to all DUAL Électrotech hydro power customers.
IPS is certified to provide service and repair for nuclear safety and non-safety-related motors and other rotating equipment. Our work complies with all government regulations and nuclear standards.
The IPS Quality Assurance Manual meets the requirements of 10CFR50 App. B and ASME NQA-1. Our nuclear motor experience covers the industry’s OEM motors, including GE, Westinghouse, Siemens-Allis, and Baldor-Reliance.
