IPS quality — One standard for our North American network

Quality has become a commodity issue for many industries — the minimum ante — but not in the industries IPS serves. Equipment failure and unplanned downtime can damage customer relationships, profitability, and brand value.

We practice the continuous improvement of quality every day at IPS in our planning, processes, and workplace rituals.

Our people share one definition of quality. CIPS (Continuous Improvement Process System) governs the way we deliver it.

CIPS, our operating system, uses metrics and standardized processes to drive continuous improvement and deliver the Unmatched Customer Experience (UCE). It’s how we produce consistent, fleet-level quality across our North American network.

Documented validation of our QA

CIPS incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001. This system is designed to meet or exceed the toughest industrial and professional standards.

We measure the quality of what we do with the UCE Board Visual Management System. IPS technicians and engineers match their performance against your expectations every day.

IPS customers also conduct quality audits of our products and services. Our service centers combine to offer a comprehensive list of certifications and accreditations:

  • 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Compliant
  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified by TUV USA
  • UL142 Certified
  • UL891 Certified
  • NETA Accredited
  • NASI/NETA Testing Certified
  • NFPA70E Electrical Safety Certified
  • NFPA110 Testing Certified

We’re an ABB Value Provider, certified for our sales, support, service, and engineering quality. IPS also provides authorized warranty repair for leading OEMs.

Judge our QA by the results

You can see IPS quality in our premium rewinds. We’ve rewound over 20,000 medium- and high-voltage motors running in the toughest industrial applications with zero failures.

You can see our quality in our Nuclear EQ Engineered Motor Insulation Systems. They’re UL-qualified with a 60-year log life aging curve and a full class rating better than competitive technologies.

It’s in our remanufacturing of rotating equipment and power distribution equipment. IPS engineering and custom, low-volume manufacturing routinely exceed OEM quality.
