Bibek started his career in engineering shortly after graduating from Southern Methodist University with his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013. He joined the National Field Services team as an Electrical Engineer. Bibek has been a part of the National Field Service’s team for nine years. In his role, he performed various power system studies, visited sites to inspect electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and more. In 2021 IPS acquired National Field Services, and in 2022 he became the Engineering Manager.
Bibek received both his, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. Bibek has experience in performing short circuits, coordination, load flow, transient motor starting, harmonic and arc flash studies. He also performs engineering studies in NERC PRC compliance. Bibek has performed power system consulting, relay upgrades and electrical system commissioning. Bibek has performed power system studies in airports, critical system facilities like data centers, water treatment plants, wind farms, high rises, paper mills and lumber plants in various locations throughout the US. He also has six years of experience in project management.
Bibek is an active member of IEEE Power & Energy Society. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Nevada, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. Bibek just received the Consulting- Specifying Engineer 40 under 40 award.
CURRENT WORK PROJECTS & ACTIVITY STREAMS
Bibek is currently responsible for managing and oversight of day-to-day operations of the engineering services team, managing staff and assigning tasks to engineering and technical personnel. He also oversees project logistics and resource allocations and is responsible for ensuring profitability goals for the engineering services team.
