Electrical Engineer

Craig began his career as a Field Service Technician at Eaton. In this position he was a Field Service Engineer for Variable Frequency Drives and Eddy Current Drive couplings and brakes. In 1994 he joined the ABB team as an Application Engineer. He held this position for five years until he became the Area Manager at Rockwell Automation. In 2011 Craig joined Integrated Control Systems Inc, as an Engineer. Craig was employed with Integrated Control Systems for 17 years and held various positions. In 2019 he joined National Field Services, as an Electrical Engineer. In 2021 IPS acquired National Field Services, and Craig’s position remained the same and is still currently an Electrical Engineer.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

Craig received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of California at Irvine and received his Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Idaho. Craig has over 28 years of experience in engineering. He contains knowledge in protective relay testing, testing and troubleshooting, developing control systems for the oil and gas industry, variable frequency drives, etc.

Craig has been licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs as a Professional Engineer (PE) in 1998 and as an Electrical Contractor (EC) in 2020. He also earned his Power Systems Protection Certificate from the University of Idaho in 2010. He has also been issued a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

CURRENT WORK PROJECTS & ACTIVITY STREAMS

Craig current responsibilities consist of protective relay testing, ETAP coordination and Arc flash analysis, testing and troubleshooting of generator controls, power systems protection and VFD.
