Ryan began his career as a Technical Service Representative at KVA Dynamo Inc. in 1997. He later transitioned to the Field Service Coordinator position in 2009. When KVA Dynamo joined IPS in 2013, Ryan became the Senior Technical Service Representative. In 2016 Ryan joined the IPS Engineering Council and became the Engineering Services Lead for the Canadian Region in 2017.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
Ryan holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering Technology from Red River College in Manitoba, Canada. He also holds his Red Seal Interprovincial Industrial Electrical Journeyman certificate and is working towards acquiring his Engineering Designation degree. Ryan has experience in Power Quality diagnostics and mitigation, Variable Frequency Drives LV+MV, Solid State Starters LV+MV, Electrical Discharge Machining, large motor control, active and passive Harmonic filters, Transformers, Switchgear, Digital Relay protection, arc flash risk assessment and mitigation, DC motors and controls, Servo motor and controls and Uninterruptable Power Systems.
Ryan sits on the IPS Engineering Council, the Red River College Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology Advisory Committee and is a past member of the Manitoba Hydro Variable Frequency Drive Applications Committee.
CURRENT WORK PROJECTS & ACTIVITY STREAMS
Ryan is based out of our Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada location and currently provides technical engineering support for the Repair, Resale, Field Services, and Manufacturing divisions in our Canadian region as well as provides Subject Matter Expert consultation to the greater IPS organization.
