IPS offers turnkey services for industrial and commercial process fans. Our service technicians and engineers have decades of industry-specific experience with various fan types and their applications, including:
Industrial operations typically run fans beyond nameplate data on a 24/7 basis, with units inaccurately installed and under-maintained. These fans demonstrate excess vibration, looseness, poor base design, and imbalance issues.
IPS technicians address some of these issues on-site, with fan cleaning, rebalancing, and bearing replacement. They work closely with our engineers to resolve failure modes, particularly for legacy equipment, on-site or in-shop.
Our work delivers improved airflow, reliability, and energy efficiency. IPS bundles these services with our work on electric motors, generators, other rotating machinery, and power distribution equipment.
Industrial process fans move massive amounts of air contaminated with smoke, dust, particulates, and corrosives. As the equipment rotates, bearings wear out, blades and impellers become less effective, and performance declines.
IPS field service technicians inspect, lubricate, and replace bearings and seals. They inspect and align gearboxes and shafts, and clean or replace blades and impellers.
When customers are ready to upgrade equipment for application requirements, we pull fans for reconditioning or remanufacturing at IPS service centers.
This is more than cursory fits and parts replacement. Our technicians and engineers work together on fleet-level solutions for North American operations, with redesign, reverse engineering, and custom low-volume remanufacturing.
OEMs build to specification, so operations running fans beyond nameplate data need to replace or rethink their equipment. We offer the advantage of engineering for the application.
IPS has the machine tooling and veteran metalworkers to handle heavy machine work and hold tighter tolerances. We remanufacture to better-than-new performance with engineering, over-spec’d materials, and fabrication.
IPS industry-specific experience with fans and improving reliability in process equipment includes:
Engineered medium- and high-voltage insulation systems for motors running in harsh environments with significant airborne dust contamination. IPS premium rewinds don’t fail.
Our in-shop repair technicians hold ultra-tight tolerances on fit and finish, using advanced tooling to repair, rebuild, or remanufacture your critical equipment.
Plants running a mix of new, old, and unsupported process equipment have unique operating challenges. Our plans define where your assets are in their lifecycle.
