Field Service Manager

Jake holds an Associates of Science degree in Diesel Technology with an emphasis in Electrical Control Systems and Hydraulics. Jake started his career in 2006 as a Field Service Technician in the Powder River Basin of Northeast Wyoming at Interstate Companies Inc. He was responsible for working on a variety of heavy mining equipment. Jake was a Field Service Technician at a few different companies such as, Liebherr Mining Equipment Co., Atlas Copco USA, and United Rentals. In 2016 Jake joined the IPS team as the Field Service Manager of the West Region. In 2020 Jake was promoted to the Field Service Manager of the Gulf Coast.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
Jake has over 16 years of Field Service experience. He contains knowledge in progressive experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on a variety of equipment such as, electric motors/generators, diesel generators, heavy equipment, electrical control systems, and PLC systems. Jake was responsible for several mining projects as well as oil and gas. He has traveled all over the Western US, working closely with engineering to troubleshoot, repair, and improve various equipment. Jake holds his Vibration Level II Analyst certification as well as his PdMA trained in Analysis.
CURRENT WORK PROJECTS & ACTIVITY STREAMS
Jake is currently working with IPS and National Field Service to develop a more robust field service technician training curriculum for new employees. Jake is an active member of the IPS Engineering Council where his main functions consist of coordinating field service projects, project management, and field service technologies.
Jake enjoys fishing, hunting, and camping with his family when he is off work. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys college football, hockey and baseball. He and his wife enjoy being involved in youth athletics with their two children.
