IPS mining motor services are available throughout our North American network. We test, repair, rebuild, recondition, and remanufacture motors for every application:
IPS customizes unit exchange for underground AC & DC mining motors, with repair of failed units. We also carry underground motors rebuilt to OEM print with OEM components when available.
Motors requiring X-Proof certification receive a new current recertification. IPS repairs all mining motors — above ground and below ground — with current explosion-proof recertification.
We measure and record all explosion-proof motor components fits.
IPS has decades of experience with mining motors. We now provide complete services for the rotating equipment those motors drive.
Our rotating equipment experts develop engineered solutions for gearboxes, pumps, fans, blowers and compressors. IPS offers on-site testing, vibration analysis, balancing, alignment, and bearing replacement.
In-shop, we rebuild, recondition, and remanufacture, with skilled machinists who hold ultra-tight tolerances on fit and finish.
IPS PowerServe adds to our single-source capabilities with power distribution. We provide electrical testing and maintenance services for circuit breakers, control parts, switchgear, and transformers.
IPS PowerServe also handles power distribution equipment installation and commissioning.
IPS is a total maintenance solution provider for mines that own transformers. We improve system uptime and reliability with new and legacy units.
Our in-shop repair handles transformers up to 60 MVA auto/23k kV class. On site, we work on generator step-up transformers rated up to 345 kV and exceeding 1,000 MVA.
We offer multiple options for new installations when replacement is more cost-effective than service and repair. We replace AC & DC motors and generators from fractionals to 2,500HP and above, rotating equipment and power distribution equipment.
We also offer in-house CNC precision parts manufacturing, for high quality and short lead times. We also source used and obsolete equipment.
IPS is a major distributor and remanufacturer of power distribution equipment.
Remanufacturing, CNC precision parts, custom panels, surplus equipment, and modifications. Available with engineering, installation, and commissioning.
Our field service technicians and engineers inspect and test for a detailed understanding of your equipment and how to maintain it.
We pull motors, generators, rotating equipment, and power distribution equipment, installing and commissioning replacement units.
