When emergencies knock critical infrastructure offline, IPS responds quickly. This is where we leverage scale and experience — assembling field service teams and resources from our North American network.
IPS field service teams arrive with the trucks, cranes, portable generators, and critical spares you need. We can service, repair, or replace your electric motors and generators, rotating equipment, and power distribution.
Our single-service capabilities streamline your emergency response. You can manage one service provider on-site, instead of coordinating the work of multiple vendors.
The IPS ability to leverage scale is valuable during planned outages. We deploy technicians and engineers from across our network, bringing test equipment, critical spares, and replacement parts.
We know how to work within outage windows, bringing you back online with tested and optimized equipment.
IPS dedicated field service teams handle hurricanes, flooding, fires, burst pipes, and failed equipment. Our certified technicians start with a comprehensive facility assessment, coordinate repairs, and start emergency back-up power.
The work includes:
AC & DC motors
Generators
Gearboxes
Pumps
Fans
Blowers
Compressors
Motor controls
Soft starters
Switchgear
Transformers

Our technicians have extensive experience with rim & face and laser alignment. We can also correct operating issues, such as soft foot and eccentric runout.
IPS installs and uses various condition-based monitoring systems, including vibration, temperature, and oil analysis.
We install, align, or replace whatever we need to. Our field service techs hook up on-site emergency backup power or stand by power, with repair or replacement for:
IPS maintains a fleet of 50-1500 kW emergency power generators. Units up to 400 kW are towable. Units over 500 kW come in fifth wheel containers.
We generate temporary power to help you restore operations while working to bring your continual power system back online. IPS strategic warehousing, inventories of surplus electrical equipment, and OEM relationships accelerate the recovery process.
IPS logistics support includes equipment transport. We maintain a dedicated fleet across North America, with transport for large and extra-large equipment.
Our emergency and outage support crews have the rigging training and safety record you want to see. We restore highly engineered applications, including sites that require roof removal and crane access for asset removal and installation.
Our North American network means we’re always close and any service center can call for backup from our other locations.
IPS carries a vast inventory of surplus electrical equipment and aftermarket solutions dating back to the post WWII era.
